How to create Ponds and Pond Repair with Liquid Rubber
First off, Liquid Rubber Waterproof Sealant is an excellent choice onhow to waterproof an aquarium. It has 100% waterproofing ability and excellent adhesion to give a completely seamless membrane. It can be rolled on, brushed on and even sprayed on with a high quality piston pump (used in large jobs).
Once the Liquid Rubber Seam Tape has been applied, you can start applying theLiquid Rubber Waterproof Sealant. The best way to build your membrane is in multiple coats. The thicker you put it on, the longer it takes to cure. Curing ranges 6-8 hours per coat depending on temperature and humidity. The best way to determine is by touch. Once the final membrane is applied, it's best to leave curing 4-7 days before use.
Coverage will range from 12 sq ft - 15 sq ft per gallon. Usually where the most pressure will be is where you'll want the thicker membrane. 2 - 3mm (80 - 120 ml) dry film thickness (DFT).
Silicone is not compatible with Liquid Rubber. If you need to use a type of caulking, a butyl rubber is recommended.
